HData is pleased to announce that John Savage has joined the company as a Senior Account Executive. Savage will focus on building strategic relationships with energy industry decision-makers and helping the energy sector modernize regulatory workflows with HData’s regulatory intelligence technology.

With over 20 years of experience in the energy and utilities sector, Savage brings deep expertise in regulatory strategy, enterprise risk management, and energy market operations. He has held leadership roles at Exelon Corporation, Baltimore Gas and Electric, Constellation Energy, and most recently served as Senior Strategy and Risk Advisor with KPMG. In that capacity, he advised and partnered with investor-owned electric, gas, and water utilities to navigate operational, regulatory, and enterprise risk challenges. This work included helping utility leaders identify and implement emerging technologies to modernize regulatory, risk management, and compliance activities.

“I’ve spent my career helping energy organizations assess operational and financial risks, close process gaps, and build more effective workflows and control environments,” Savage said. “From managing counterparty and customer relationships across generation and energy marketing portfolios to supporting regulatory strategy and teams across electric and gas operations, I’ve seen firsthand how easier access to data and smarter systems drive better decisions. HData brings that clarity to regulatory intelligence, and I’m thrilled to help industry leaders move faster and operate with greater confidence.”

Serving the largest customer ecosystem in regulated energy, HData helps utilities, regulators, advocates, advisory firms, and energy technology companies turn regulatory complexity into strategic advantage through centralized data, powerful AI, and purpose-built tools. By reducing the time and cost burdens of manual research and analysis, HData’s solutions enable teams to efficiently monitor regulatory developments, prepare for proceedings, mitigate potential risks, and confidently make decisions with comprehensive data across energy and water sectors.

“John has lived the operational and regulatory pressures that HData is built to solve—from energy trading and generation to regulated utility operations. That firsthand experience is exactly what customers need from a trusted advisor. We’re growing our team with people who bring real-world depth, and John raises the bar,” HData COO Jeff Press said.
