HData Compliance provides regulated electric utilities, oil pipelines, and gas pipelines with more control; paired with HData’s instant business intelligence
BIRMINGHAM, AL – HData, a leading provider of data management and energy analytics solutions for the U.S. energy industry, announced a new compliance update for its unified RegTech platform. HData's Compliance update includes new features that provide regulated energy companies with more control over the import, edit, validation and filing of reports with the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
HData's platform now leverages real-time validation to intelligently identify errors and exceptions in customer-provided FERC data, allowing them to complete FERC filings in a fraction of the time as using traditional methods. HData's Compliance update also includes a newly-improved user interface and additional features designed to increase the ease of use and flexibility of the platform.
"In over 30 years leading utility finance and technology transformations, I saw firsthand the need to modernize the way our industry manages and understands its regulatory information," said Becky Blalock, former Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Southern Company and a member of HData's Board of Advisors. "HData Compliance doesn't just transform the process of creating and filing FERC forms. It's also part of a platform that allows utilities to benchmark themselves against their peers, understand their own finances and operations in context with the whole industry, and move their regulatory operations from being a center of costs to a center of intelligence."
HData’s platform uses regulatory data to automate compliance and business intelligence for electric utilities, gas companies and oil pipelines. The mission of the company, founded in 2018, is to digitize the interface between the regulatory and private sectors by creating and scaling platforms that take advantage of digital reporting.
